Today there is a need for great thinkers – serious-minded intellects who will engage the culture with the truths of Christian faith. Union University is readying a generation of thinkers and change agents who will shape culture with innovative ideas and reform in law and politics, philosophy and religion, science, music, literature and art.

Opportunities to Excel
With more than 100 programs of study, outstanding faculty and a strong campus community, Union is advancing Christ-centered education.
Students have had the opportunity to hear from world-renown leaders such as George H.W. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev and Condoleezza Rice.
Pharmacy, science and nursing students benefit from state-of-the-art laboratories and simulation facilities. Communications students produce daily live news programming from their HD television studio.
Union student participate in more than 50 major student-produced music and theatre events each academic year and produce award-winning literary journal and student newspaper.
Students from a variety of academic areas participate in internships with regional and national companies. Study abroad during the summer or semester terms include destinations such as Oxford University, Jordan, Mexico and Belgium. Union students also go on short-term mission trips to locations in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America.
Integrating Faith and Learning
Whether studying accounting or art, engineering or social work, students understand their role in that field within the context of a Christian worldview.
Union has invested in faculty members who are not only leaders in their fields, but they are committed to classroom teaching and the highest levels of Christian scholarship.
Outside the classroom, faculty and students interact in a variety of groups to discuss important literary works and the arts from a Christian perspective. They can also join in conversations with many of the leading theologians and scholars of our time at major Union-sponsored conferences.
Close-knit Community
Union combines the advantages of being a nationally recognized university with the personal attention of a friendly and engaging learning community.
With a 12:1 student/faculty ratio, professors know students by name. It is not unusual to find professors and students in the campus coffee shop discussing common interests. Several times throughout the year, students are invited to be guests in the homes of faculty and staff members.
National champion basketball teams, concerts, open mic nights, intramural sports, Bible studies, community services projects and a host of residence and student life events are enjoyed by the Union community.
All resident students have their own private bedrooms in apartment-style residence buildings, most of which were built in 2008.
